The small fishing village of Dageløkke

Dageløkke was originally a small fishing village with its own school, where approx. 60 children were enrolled. The harbour had the status of a fishing and shipping harbour. Dageløkke Brickworks was established together with the harbour and inn in the years 1895-1905. Today Dageløkke has 8 permanent residents. The school became a soda factory and is now a private residence, the brickworks burned down approx. 1965, the last commercial fisherman died in 1988, and the small inn closed in 2018. Today the inn "Strandhuset B&B" is housed in the nice part of the building, facing south with a view of Rudkøbing, Langelandsbroen and Lundeborg on South Funen.

Why our guests choose Strandhuset B&B

At Strandhuset I take pride in giving everyone help, for example, to find Langeland's exciting and somewhat secret places. Whether you are on a cycling holiday or want to hike "The Langeland Camino" (15 bulls, 15 mills and 15 parishes), I am happy to find good suggestions. From the breakfast buffet, everyone is allowed to make a packed lunch from the leftovers, and if time permits, I am happy to show you around to good places on the island, all of course spiced up with exciting local stories. The nature on Langeland is very special in many places. Here we can mention Bondegårdsskov, Stigtehave, over 250 "mountains" and countless "breast-shaped hills" popularly called hat hills and remember, Langeland is also beautiful in winter - some even think it is more beautiful.
